Frequently Asked Questions FAQ

 What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a  proven, scientifically sound method used by qualified practitioners to enable a desired change to occur. Today, the use of hypnosis is seen in a variety of fields, including: medicine, professional sports, and education.

Hypnosis is a natural state of awareness, which almost everyone can access, often accompanied by feelings of relaxation and heightened euphoria. It is not like sleep, it is a normal state of mind that can be achieved naturally and many times by anyone, in everyday life.

The key factor for success in hypnosis is motivation and a willingness to participate to bring about the positive changes that you require. Whether it is stopping smoking , weight control or stress management and anxiety removal, every hypnosis session is individual to you.

There is no loss of control by an individual in hypnosis. You are fully able to talk if you wish to and can end the session anytime you want to. When experiencing hypnosis, you cannot be made to do anything against your usual ethical or moral judgment or religious belief. It's about accessing your inner strength to accelerate your desired change.

How does hypnosis work?

Our minds work on two levels; conscious and unconscious. We make decisions, think, and act with our conscious mind. The unconscious mind controls our habits and our basic bodily functions. In the relaxed state known as hypnosis, I can communicate directly with your unconscious mind. This is why hypnosos is so effective in helping you change habits of a lifetime.

How will I know if I am hypnotised?

Many people cannot explain what happens specifically during hyponosis, it's more a feeling of wellbeing and heightened awareness.  Some people feel relaxed, others feel lightness and refreshed. A common outcome is that people do notice  a positive change in their attitude, behaviours and habits.

Is hypnosis safe?

Hypnosis is completely safe. You are aware and in control at every moment and can terminate the session at any time. Hypnosis is not sleep, nor can you get "stuck" in a state of hypnosis. You cannot be made to do something against your will! Hypnosis is a safe, relaxing, and often enlightening experience.

How does hypnosis help me for example, to kick my smoking habit?

Because smoking is a habit, it is controlled by the unconscious mind. Since hypnosis works directly with the unconscious mind,  my Hypnosis techniques work with you to support your transition into the healthy lifestyle of a happy non-smoker.
