A 1985 study published in the Journal of
Clinical Psychology revealed that the addition of hypnosis to a behavioural
program
resulted in significant additional weight loss -- while those using only
the behavioural treatment exhibited little further change.
A 1996 analysis that looked at six previous
studies found participants who used hypnosis lost on average 12lbs by the end
of a 4 week treatment,
while those in the control group lost an average of 6lbs without
hypnosis.
